Chile´s Volcanoes: 4 Summits in the Andes Range

The Volcanoes Journey by Huella Andina is an invitation to live the Andes: to get to know its most characteristic mountains and experience its people, nature and culture as only the longest mountain range in the world can create.

The Andes are the most important mountains in America. Along its 7,500km, passing through 7 countries, the range reaches nearly all of South America. In Chile, the Andes are responsible for the shape and character of the country, people and environment. The range extends nearly 4,600km from north to south. The “Ojos del Salado” volcano is not only the world’s highest active volcano, but it’s also part of the 3000 that make up the Andes, and it’s also Chile’s highest point.
Traveling from the north into the central and southern Chilean Andes, we will ascend the volcanoes Ojos del Salado, San Jose, Villarica and Osorno. Along the way we’ll also visit the principle cities founded at the foot of these great mountains, travel their valleys and enjoy their unique specialties.
By traveling in small groups, we are able to minimize our environmental impact on these fragile places. We’ll get to know each other, enjoy the specialities of each locale and find new parts of ourselves along the journey.
Huella Andina’s drive is to share our experiences in the mountains with others. During each trip, we live a unique Andean experience. We are committed to sharing our knowledge and guide our clients on a safe, high quality adventure through which we can share our culture and passion for the mountains.
