Trekking through the valleys of Puelo and Cochamo

Multiday trekking itinerary to discover wonderful and uninhabited places of the chilean Lakes District. An “U” shaped route of more than 90 kilometers through a trail made mainly by cattle, “arrieros” and settlers, connecting the Puelo and Cochamo Valleys, but also with Argentina trough “Paso El Leon”.

A seven days journey supported by pack horses to carry the common equipment and the food. Being received to camp in the grounds of the few families who permanent live there, working and interacting with the nature.

A trip located in an area that will make you experience: to keep as a memory the steps done following the water, discovering millenary forest, survival farming and the impressive granite walls of “La Junta”. Climbing the Arcoiris mountain to enjoy the area from the highs, and know – even a little – the people who live in these beautiful places.
